Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply when you use the AutoKeyChase website or book mobile automotive locksmith services.

Last updated: August 2026 AUTO KEY CHASE LTD · Company 11578535 Corby, Northamptonshire

Key Service Terms

Provide accurate vehicle details, be ready to confirm entitlement to the vehicle, and agree the job-specific price before work proceeds. Car key services start from £90 where applicable; typical response is around 30–60 minutes, but arrival times and technical outcomes depend on the actual vehicle, fault, location and workload.

About These Terms

These terms apply to the use of the AutoKeyChase website and, where relevant, to automotive locksmith services supplied by AUTO KEY CHASE LTD (company number 11578535), trading as AutoKeyChase.

AutoKeyChase is based in Corby, Northamptonshire and provides mobile automotive locksmith services across Corby and surrounding areas. These terms should be read together with any job-specific quote or information agreed with the customer.

Nothing in these terms is intended to remove or restrict rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable statutory consumer rights.

Services We Provide

Services can include lost or replacement car keys, spare keys, non-destructive vehicle entry, key programming, broken-key work, supported immobiliser diagnostics and steering-lock or ignition-related work.

Service availability depends on the vehicle, key system, fault, location, equipment compatibility and current workload. The fact that a service is described on the website does not guarantee that every vehicle or fault can be completed on every occasion.

AutoKeyChase may decline work where the required procedure is not supported, vehicle entitlement cannot be established, the environment is unsafe, the requested work would be unlawful or the actual fault falls outside the agreed service.

Bookings, Vehicle Details & Proof of Entitlement

Customers should provide accurate information when requesting a quote or attendance, including the vehicle make, model, year, registration, location, key situation and known faults.

Before key replacement, vehicle entry, programming or other security-sensitive work is completed, AutoKeyChase may request suitable identification and evidence that the customer is entitled to the vehicle. Work may be refused or paused if satisfactory entitlement cannot be established.

A booking or estimated attendance time is not a guarantee that a particular technical outcome is possible until the vehicle and fault have been assessed.

Pricing, Quotes & Payment

Car key services start from £90 where applicable. This is a starting price rather than a fixed price for every vehicle.

Pricing can vary according to the vehicle make, model and year, key type, parts required, programming method, whether a working key remains, access requirements, location and any separate vehicle fault affecting the work.

AutoKeyChase normally does not charge a call-out fee. An additional charge may apply where a vehicle fault affects the work being carried out or where extra work is agreed after assessment.

Where a specific price or method of calculating the price is agreed before work, that job-specific agreement takes priority over general website wording. Payment is due as agreed for the service supplied.

Response Times & Mobile Attendance

AutoKeyChase is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for enquiries and emergency automotive locksmith work, subject to current workload, location and practical availability.

Typical response times are approximately 30–60 minutes in the local service area. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed arrival time. Traffic, weather, distance, previous jobs, access restrictions and other circumstances can affect attendance.

Customers should ensure the vehicle location can be accessed safely and lawfully by the attending locksmith.

Vehicle Condition, Diagnostics & Additional Faults

A key or lock symptom can sometimes be caused by a fault elsewhere in the vehicle. Examples include battery condition, wiring, immobiliser faults, steering-lock faults, damaged modules or previous repair work.

Where the customer requests a replacement key but assessment shows that another vehicle fault is preventing the key or vehicle from operating normally, further diagnosis or repair may be required. Any materially different work should be discussed before it is carried out.

AutoKeyChase is not responsible for pre-existing vehicle faults or damage that was not caused by the locksmith service.

Changes, Delays & Cancellations

If you need to change or cancel an appointment, contact AutoKeyChase as soon as reasonably possible.

Emergency and mobile locksmith jobs can involve travel and work beginning shortly after a booking. Any cancellation rights that apply will depend on the circumstances in which the contract was made and whether the customer has expressly requested that urgent work starts before the end of any applicable cancellation period.

AutoKeyChase may need to rearrange or cancel attendance because of safety issues, vehicle compatibility, severe delay, illness, equipment failure or circumstances outside reasonable control. Where possible, the customer will be informed promptly.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • providing accurate vehicle, location and contact information;
  • being present or arranging authorised access to the vehicle where required;
  • providing proof of entitlement when requested;
  • telling AutoKeyChase about known electrical, immobiliser, steering-lock or previous repair issues;
  • ensuring the work location is reasonably safe and lawful; and
  • paying the agreed price for work completed.

Quality of Service, Liability & Consumer Rights

AutoKeyChase will provide services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Any limitation of liability must be read subject to applicable consumer law and the facts of the particular job. AutoKeyChase is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate information supplied by the customer, pre-existing vehicle faults, third-party repairs, events outside reasonable control or uses of a key or vehicle after the service that are unrelated to the work performed.

If you believe a service has not been carried out as agreed, contact AutoKeyChase promptly so the issue can be reviewed and, where appropriate, an available remedy can be discussed.
